Broadway Tarot is based on the structure of the classic Rider-Waite system, featuring the 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana. Each card has been thoughtfully paired with an iconic Broadway musical, beautifully illustrated by Melbourne-based artist Ella Witchell. Featuring much-loved classics like Singin’ in the Rain, Les Misérables, Funny Girl, and Chicago, to newer favorites like Wicked, Hamilton, Kinky Boots, and Six, the cards are accompanied by a guidebook to introduce each musical and explain the relationship to their relevant tarot card.

And hey: if your future, as ordained by these cards, isn’t looking so bright, just remember that there is nothing in life that you can’t sing your way out of. Now shuffle the deck and break a leg!
Ella Witchell is a Melbourne-based designer and illustrator, classically trained in graphic and performance design. With a multidisciplinary portfolio spanning print design, fine art, and film, her works place a strong emphasis on visual storytelling, perpetual curiosity, and playfulness. Witchell’s illustrations are characterized by feminine color palettes, delicate line work, and visual Easter eggs—hidden details specific to the project that may be missed at first glance. Inspired by musical theatre, pop culture, history, and architecture, she brings a unique perspective to her projects, reflecting her passion for culture and the arts.
