Library Journal Premium Review by Whitney Kramer

"Expert knitter and Instagram influencer Trettevik (founder of Witre Design) offers readers a collection of patterns for both adults and children that are perfectly on trend for 2023. Written over a year as Trettevik and her family moved from the center of Oslo to an island in northern Norway, this book’s creative, approachable patterns chronicle her family’s journey throughout the year. There’s something for adults and children in every season, from of-the-moment chunky sweaters to breezy knitted culottes and dresses for summer. Beautiful photographs by Krekling complete the book. Patterns do not include charts, but they are straightforward enough so that even beginner knitters can navigate them without issue.
VERDICT A solid addition to the craft genre and public libraries with robust craft collections. Perfect for both beginners and more adventurous knitters."

Savanknits - Feb 2024

A Knitter's Year is without a doubt the prettiest knitting book I own. I love how the patterns are separated into seasons, making it super easy to find the style of pattern I want. The pictures are whimsical and lush, perfectly highlighting distinguishing features of each knit. The patterns seem to be clearly written as well.
Ida Wirak Trettevik is the founder of Witre design and has 80,000 Instagram followers (@witredesign). The first patterns launched in 2018, and from the start, Witre design has been about finding a modern expression for knitted garments and designs, creating patterns that will inspire to knit one's own wardrobe - piece by piece. A strong motivation behind the concept is also to help knitters create pieces of good quality and longevity, adjusted to the individual knitter's own preferences.
