Art Book Review - May 2024 Even if you have the five books that go to make up this compilation, I think you might feel you want this as well. True, at 288 pages it’s a heavy slab of a book, but it sits well in your lap and falls open nicely – no fighting the binding and peering into the spine here. This is a guide rather than a course, so expect topics rather than lessons, but there are plenty of examples, exercises and demonstrations to keep you busy.
David Bellamy has always been fascinated by the world’s wild places. An artist-explorer for the modern age, over the course of his lifetime David has mounted expeditions and adventures across this alluring, expansive and complex region. Highly regarded as a teacher of art, he has a tremendous following among leisure painters in the UK and abroad. He gives demonstrations and talks, produces successful DVDs, has written many books on watercolor painting and is a regular contributor to art magazines. David lives in Builth Wells, Wales UK.
