Rick Barba is one of the most published book authors in the videogame industry, with more than 130 game-related titles in print, including Diablo III: The Official Limited Edition Strategy Guide and the novel XCOM 2: Escalation (Insight, 2017). A graduate of the Iowa Writers Workshop, Rick has been on the writing faculty at Santa Clara University and the University of Nebraska Omaha, and has published fiction in numerous literary journals such as Chicago Review, Black Warrior Review, AQR, and Gordon Lish’s The Quarterly. He’s thrilled that the content of his two Starfleet Academy novels for Simon & Schuster (The Delta Anomaly and The Gemini Agent) is part of the official Star Trek canon.
