Marvel’s greatest villain, Doctor Doom, stars in his own blockbuster series! Recently revealed to be portrayed by Robert Downey Jr in the upcoming Avengers Doomsday film!

Victor Von Doom is at a crossroads. Wrestling with visions of an entirely different life, the lord of Latveria offers mankind a stark warning about the folly of a trillion-dollar global effort to create the first artificial black hole. But when a catastrophic act of terrorism kills thousands, the prime suspect is...Doom! Left with no homeland, no armies and no allies — indeed, nothing at all — will Doctor Doom's reign come to an abrupt end? Forced to seek out an old "frenemy" for help, Victor will go through hell — literally! And his old foe Mephisto is waiting for him there! Doom will have to battle Taskmaster, M.O.D.O.K., the Blue Marvel and more — but to clear his accursed name, he must embark on a deadly covert mission with unlikely ally Kang the Conqueror!

Christopher Cantwell is a writer, producer and director whose work in television and film includes co-creating the long-running drama series Halt and Catch Fire. He made an instant impression at Marvel Comics with his run on Doctor Doom, which took readers behind the mask of one of fiction’s greatest villains. Moving from one armored protagonist to another, Cantwell helmed a relaunch of Iron Man, bringing a classic flavor to the Golden Avenger’s adventures. In United States of Captain America, Cantwell reunited those who have wielded the shield and introduced a number of diverse new Sentinels of Liberty across the nation.

Working for the Marvel UK imprint led Spanish artist Salvador Larroca to a regular gig on Ghost Rider. He graduated to Fantastic Four, alongside one of his favorite writers, Chris Claremont. From 2000 to 2006, Larroca depicted Marvel’s mutants across Uncanny X-Men, X-Men and X-Treme X-Men. Following a stint on Amazing Spider-Man, Larroca brought his maturing style to a lengthy run on Invincible Iron Man and the X-Men: No More Humans original graphic novel. Upon the return of Star Wars to Marvel, Larroca turned to the dark side with Darth Vader before taking on the flagship Star Wars title.
