Kamala Khan is back - and she's an X-Man! Ms. Marvel bursts into the next phase of her life in an exciting adventure co-written by Iman Vellani, the MCU's own Kamala, and Sabir Pirzada of both DARK WEB: MS. MARVEL and her Disney+ series! That's right - the good news is that in the wake of her recent world-saving sacrifice, Ms. Marvel has been resurrected via Krakoan technology! What a way to learn she's both an Inhuman AND a mutant! The bad news is that her debut at the Hellfire Gala didn't go exactly as planned, and now all of mutantkind is being hunted worldwide! Plunged into a world of hate and fear, Kamala has a secret mission to pull off for the X-Men! Can an undercover Kamala infiltrate Orchis itself even as she struggles to acclimate to this new part of her identity? Collecting MS. MARVEL: THE NEW MUTANT #1-4, plus Kamala's first full appearance from ALL-NEW MARVEL NOW! POINT ONE #1.
· “Just got a chance to read Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant #1 and I can say with confidence it is an excellent Kamala story. Iman really gets the character and seeing her balance the mutant stuff and her previous history ends up making for a great read.” - Liam McGuire, Looper.com
· “Vellani’s been open about her love of Marvel comics, and I’m happy that love translates to her writing. She and Pirzada also manage to strike a balance between standard teenage heroics and the dread that’s permeated the Fall of X storyline so far; while other X-titles have played up on the latter, a nice dose of the former keeps readers invested.” - Collier Jennings, AIPT Comics
“I will always be an advocate of comic book actors adding to their character's comics tapestry, and having Vellani involved with Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant is definitely proof-of-concept for it to be successful at Marvel." - ComicBook.com
“This first issue is a thoughtful, well-executed flashpoint for Kamala's tenure, inching her slightly-closer to her MCU counterpart without losing what has already made her special on the page. When combined with exuberant art and an impossibly-earnest exploration of Kamala's personal sense of identity, Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant #1 has the makings of something special.” - ComicBook.com

And the results have been even better than they’d hoped—the depth of her knowledge of the characters and her passion for their stories was immediately both clear and contagious!
