School’s (almost) out for summer, and it’s time to celebrate graduates and the hardworking teachers that got them there!
Wish graduates good luck in their next phase of life, whether they’re graduating from kindergarten or college. For those moving into adulthood, give them something to inspire them on their journey, like Do One Thing Every Day to Change the World, or help them start their new life off right with helpful guides to adulting basics like The Little Book of Cleaning Tips, How to Cook, and How to Unf*ck Your Finances a Little Bit Each Day. For young graduates, celebrate their continuing growth with books like Graduation Mad Libs and First Grade, Here I Come!
And let’s not forget the teachers that put in endless hours of work to shepherd students from the first day of school through to graduation. These everyday heroes mold the minds and hearts of children, yet so often go unappreciated. We’ve all had great teachers we can recall fondly even now, whether they were the teacher that always had funny stories to share, the one who would never dare teach a boring by-the-book lesson, or even that special someone who went above and beyond the call of duty to recognize our individuality.
Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up on May 8 – May 12, and it’s the perfect time to tell them thanks for all the hard work they do. Teachers will love The Big Activity Book for Teacher People and What You Taught Me, and young students can tell their favorite teachers how much they appreciate them with Thank You, Teacher from The Very Hungry Caterpillar and A Letter to My Teacher.
